Driven by a passion for creating a better, sustainable future through decarbonisation and intelligent engineering, Mike brings over a decade of EV design experience with expertise in electric-vehicle efficiency, energy storage and thermal systems. Most recently, he led the bi-directional charging concept development for a prestigious British car manufacturer; championing how EVs must have the capability to return energy to homes and the grid, not just consume it. Recognising that EVs can be an integral part of the home energy ecosystem, he set out to share his knowledge directly with consumers.

In 2026, Mike founded Home Energy Tailor, an independent energy-advice service helping homeowners across Warwickshire, Gloucestershire & Worcestershire navigate the rapidly evolving home energy landscape with confidence.

He provides in-person, independent advice across solar PV, heat pumps, home battery storage, EV chargers, and Home Energy Management Systems, alongside formal Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), bespoke Home Energy Reports and Made-to-Measure Energy Plans. With no supplier ties or product affiliations, clients receive genuinely impartial guidance, tailored to their home and needs.
